We hadn't really established any Easter traditions in our family yet, not until we were invited to come spend the Easter weekend in Oak City this year. I think we'll never do anything different as long as we live! We had such a great time sharing our Easter with aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in our favorite town on earth.
The Saturday before was the day of festivities. It started out with an Easter Egg Hunt (in freezing cold weather!) put on by the town in the park. It was over almost as fast as it started, but that didn't stop the boys from coming away with some treats in their buckets. Dad helped drag them across the field to get in front of all the other egg-hunters. Turned out to be a perfect strategy!
The best part about the second hunt was that each cousin had a large egg with their name on it that they had to find. Once they found it, they got to turn it in to Aunt Lisa for a prize. Jack and Henry got rocket launchers that were a big hit with all the boy cousins.

A few of the cousins sat together on the stairs to eat and share the spoils of the hunts! These are Jack & Henry's THIRD cousins, and they will grow up as best friends, which blows my mind. We are so blessed to be a part of such a great family.

And speaking of spoiled, we were COMPLETELY spoiled the entire weekend! There were so many cousins and playmates there for the twins that we hardly saw them at all. I spent a lot of time inside taking care of Grant. It was so nice to relax and hardly worry about anything. Big thanks to Aunt Lisa who provided pretty much everything for us while we were there.
