Oh Henry.

My boys are growing up. They are establishing their independence a little more each day, but more than anything they are evolving from babies to little boys. Henry is really becoming more of a little boy to me especially. He is such an I-can-do-it-by-myself kid, it cracks me up (just like his mom). He loves to hold his own cup when he drinks, use his own utensils when he eats, and figure things out on his own.
When he is outside, he loves playing with the hose. This kid gravitates to it and he gets really mad when he can't drag it all over the backyard with him.
He loves wearing things on his head: sunglasses, hats, and today it was his daddy's headlamp.
He loves his grandpa. He is normally a mamma's boy, but when grandpa is around he'll choose him.
His most recent enjoyment (for the past two months now) is pushing anything that will move across the floor. It started with a little push-toy we borrowed from his cousin to teach him to walk, since then he has graduated to more exciting and challenging sources of mobility. When we were at Aunt Bethy's house one afternoon, he pushed this little red wagon all over her backyard multiple times.

Once I left the broom out on the patio. Henry took matters into his own hands. He's a good little helper, or he will be some day.

Both of the boys love Jesus and get so excited when they see pictures of Him. Henry found this picture of Jesus in the guest bedroom (I had set in on the floor when I moved furniture around). He wanted Him to become a pushing buddy, so he pushed the picture down the hall. Is it ok to laugh at that?

Over the weekend we went to Home Depot. He wanted nothing to do with riding in the cart. No, no, he wanted to push the cart! And he pushed it all around the garden department, until he stumbled onto something much more intriguing and he ditched the cart altogether...

...to jump on this bad boy! Just look at the look on his face, he can hardly wait to mow our lawn! Maybe by the time he's old enough to do so, we'll have invested in a riding lawnmower. Seriously, this kid... we love his guts.

The little guys' photos and your commentary always warms my heart and puts a smile on my face. Thank you! It reminds me of the song lyrics from years ago, "Me and God watching Scotty grow." What a delight!
